Midsummer in Spain

We rented a car and drove down to Torrevieja to surprise my mother, her husband, my aunt and her boyfriend. Their plane was delayed and we got there before them. We hid behind a palmtree when we heard them coming. Surprise!!
Evening walk by the beach.
Isn't beautiful almost like a painting from Skagen.
Midsummer Eve. Time to fix the midsummer pole. Clara thinks that we can use the thing we hang our clothes to dry on. Bougavilla has thorns but it's looks good.
The flag is in top of the pole and time to dance.
Time for food. Pickled herring, sour creme, chives, meat balls, potatoes. And for dessert: strawberries bought at the farmers market.
